2023 Women in Sustainability Fellowship

Our inaugural class of Global Women Asia in Sustainability Fellowship was comprised of nine individuals from nine countries. As a cohort, they had work experience across business, government, academic and social sectors that spanned five continents. The 2023 GWA Fellowship program was supported by ABAC USA 2023.

    Apoorva Jain

    Co-Founder, Boleh Capital; Sustainability Specialist, EY

    Apoorva is an Indian sustainability practitioner in Singapore, driving change and impact in the private and public sectors. Her impactful work includes devising decarbonization plans for a large maritime company, contributing to developing national-level renewable energy policies, and being a co-founder of an impact investment firm in Singapore.

    Elisabetta Jiang

    Co-Founder, Unicorns for Good

    Elisabetta is an Italian-Chinese leading a Singapore-based tech-for-good impact network that curates a global community of leaders, entrepreneurs, technologists, funders, changemakers and policy makers, to scale tech-for-good solutions to solve global challenges, and realize a future where people and the planet thrive together.

    Florence Van Dyke

    Co-Founder, Chia Sisters; Forbes 30 Under 30

    Florence is a sustainability entrepreneur based in Wellington, New Zealand. She co-founded a health beverage brand operating across Australia and New Zealand and exporting to Australia, Hong Kong and the US. The beverage is a solar-powered, Zero Carbon and Living Wage certified B Corp. Florence also co-founded Businesses for Climate Action. She is now the Global Head of Sustainability at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

    Larissa Sidarto

    Sustainability Business Strategist; Forbes 30 Under 30

    Larissa is an Indonesian sustainability leader in London who leverages her experiences in technology and finance to enable sustainable economic improvement for the world. She helped build an innovative data-sharing application to improve the financial inclusion of farming communities. The application enabled growth from 0 to 33,000 Indonesian small-holder farmers across 700+ villages in two years.

    Milawen Ding

    Social Entrepreneur, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Youth Bridge Foundation

    Milawen is a Chinese social entrepreneur in Beijing. In addition to working for the UNDP's youth project, Milawen is also deputy Secretary-General at Youth Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for youth.

    Linh Do

    Climate Justice Advocate, University of Melbourne

    Linh is an Australian in Melbourne who started her career working with Al Gore and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Australia and the Pacific. She also led climate justice campaigns and forged public-private partnerships, and founded a media company to influence minds and attitudes. She is now focused on cultivating next-generation leaders in sustainability.

    Olivia Plotnick

    Founder, Wai Social

    Olivia is an American advertising entrepreneur in Shanghai, guiding, co-developing, and amplifying prominent brands on sustainability practices, products and services. She is also a former President and board member of International Professional Women’s Society (IPWS) in Shanghai.

    Yurie Mizukami

    Sustainable Development, Gender, Education and Human Rights Expert, Plan International

    Yurie is a Japanese in Vientiene, Laos whose career spans three continents in Africa, Europe, and Asia. Her extensive experiences include in governments, social startups, and international nonprofits. She currently educates teachers and students on sexual and reproductive health through a gender-responsive water and sanitation project.

    Yera Park

    VC and Funds, International Finance Corporation

    Born in Seoul and raised in China, Yera works in Washington DC to enable partnerships and investments in disruptive technologies and funds across emerging markets. With an education in energy economics and the power market, Yera previously worked in renewable energy development and climate tech.
