Honoree Video Highlights
Roberta Lipson
Founder of United Family Healthcare (UFH), Roberta Lipson is a 40-year pioneer in China’s healthcare industry. She co-founded Chindex in 1981, growing it from a medical equipment distributor into China’s first and largest foreign-invested healthcare system, and took the company public twice. She now serves as Vice Chair of New Frontier Health and remains a key voice in U.S.–China business relations. She also founded the United Foundation for China’s Health, a nonprofit providing critical care to underserved communities across China.
American India Foundation
The American India Foundation’s Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative (MANSI) is a public-private program that reduces maternal and child mortality in rural, underserved communities across India. By training and supporting frontline health workers to deliver effective, low-cost, home-based care, MANSI improves outcomes for pregnant women, newborns, and children under five. To date, it has served over 500,000 pregnant women, supported more than 300,000 children and newborns, and empowered 250,000 adolescent girls with health, education, and life skills.
